Have you ever had a week were you were so very down and depressed for no good reason? I had a week like that this week. Now most of you know that I have several 'good reasons' to get down but most times I do not. However, this week I was so down I didn't even want to be with myself!
However, during my time of being down I realised that I as a Christian always have a very good reason to be happy and not down! Anything this world can throw at me will only be temporary and not forever! That thought comes in handy when we are feeling down. I as a Christian know that I am going to leave this 'valley of tears' soon, and I will be spending the rest of eternity in paradise with my Savior Jesus. Keeping that thought in mind helps me feel better and more positive.
I hope you are not one of those people who don't believe in a place called hell. No matter how much one wishes the reality of hell away, it doesn't go away. When one leaves here and goes to hell it isn't for a 'wake-up weekend'! Hell and all the miserable things that happen there are real and ever lasting without any hope of an end or a break in the misery. When I think of all the folks that have or who will be going to hell I can't help but feel terrible. I must do and say something to help even just one person. A lot of folks will be going there because they have the misconception that being a Christian requires one to do or not to do certain actions or behaviors. A Christian isn't about being or not being a certain way. Being a Christian is about realising that one is unable to be good enough to make it to heaven. We need Jesus to do it for us. Gratitude and so on doesn't ever have much to do with doing or not doing! Lastly, please don't be a person who doesn't believe that a place like hell can ever exist. Don't be a person who misunderstands Jesus' redemption and end up in the very place you can continue to deny for the rest of eternity while experiencing the worst types of misery imaginable, without end!
For those who need more information about the place that most people deny, we have an e-book titled, 'Hell Really Exists'. Is Hell just some crazy made up idea or is it a reality? Better to take the time now, than to regret this very moment for an eternity! If nothing else, check out both sides of the issue and make a decision you can live with for a long time.
